How do you take care of your hair after you have been to the salon? Many times we do more damage to our hair by curling it, blow drying it, and flat ironing it than the amount of damage we do from highlights or color. It is important to nourish our hair especially when we are doing so much to it.
First off you can start by making sure you are getting enough nutrients in your diet or in your multi vitamins. Beauty comes from the inside out.
Avoid using styling products with alcohol. Alcohol dries out your hair which leads to frizz and breakage.
If swimming wet your hair or use a pre swimming serum before so that the pool water doesn’t soak into your hair and damage it. Also rinse after swimming to remove any chlorine.
Do not put styling products directly on your scalp as it does clog your pores.
Heat is damaging to your hair, so to minimize heat set your blow dryer to a cooler setting and do not hold it too close to your hair.
Once a week use a hydrating hair mask to help keep moisture in your hair.
